IT Support Technician

Anywhere in the US · Atlanta preferred
Full-time · On site at client offices and the Rozmith depot

Job Summary

You are Rozmith on site. You set up equipment at a user's desk and walk them through their first sign-in. You support go-live days when an acquired company joins a client's environment. Between site visits you work our service desk and our hardware depot. Three services, one role, and you build skills across all of them. This can be your first IT job. We train you on our tools, our clients and our procedures. What we need is the right foundation and the drive to learn.

About Rozmith

Rozmith is a security-first managed service provider for insurance and financial services firms in the US, UK and Europe. Our clients buy and merge companies, and we make the technology side of that work: new offices, new staff, new equipment, on schedule. We build the service first, then the process that lets it scale.

What You'll Do

On site at client offices

  • Deploy laptops, desktops, docks, monitors and peripherals at the user's desk and get them signed in.
  • Run the quality checklist on every device and get the user's sign-off before you leave.
  • Fix what can't be fixed remotely: hardware faults, peripherals, printers, conference room audio-visual.
  • Support office moves: pack, move, reconnect, test.
  • Update the ticket and the asset record before leaving every site.

M&A integrations and office go-lives

  • Deploy hardware to acquired staff in cohorts, to the integration schedule.
  • Help build out new offices: site surveys, desk setup, printers, room equipment, Wi-Fi testing with Engineering.
  • Provide floor support on go-live day: sign-in checks, application checks, on-the-spot fixes.
  • Work the hypercare queue in the weeks after go-live and flag recurring issues to the integration lead.

Service desk

  • Own your tickets from open to close, within SLA.
  • Handle requests and incidents across Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online and Teams.
  • Process new hires, moves and departures to the documented standard.
  • Write knowledge base articles when you solve something new.

Hardware depot

  • Receive hardware: capture serials, inspect, record against the purchase order and client.
  • Image and provision devices, including Autopilot registration, then QA, kit and ship.
  • Process returns: triage, data sanitization with evidence, redeploy or dispose.
  • Support warranty claims and vendor returns.

What We're Looking For

  • A real interest in technology and how things work: coursework, a home lab, a certification in progress, or being the person friends and family call for tech help.
  • Comfortable with Windows and Microsoft 365 day to day, and willing to learn how they're managed.
  • Hands-on comfort setting up computers, monitors and peripherals.
  • Clear, friendly communication with people who aren't technical.
  • Organized and careful: you write down what you did and you follow a checklist.
  • Valid US driver's license, clean driving record and reliable transportation.
  • Able to pass a background check (our financial services clients require it).

Nice to Have

  • Any IT support experience: help desk, desk-side, retail tech support, school or internship IT.
  • Exposure to Windows deployment, Microsoft 365 admin, Intune or Autopilot.
  • Basic networking: IP addressing, DNS, Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
  • Warehouse, shipping or inventory experience.
  • Customer-facing experience in any field.
  • CompTIA A+, Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (MS-900) or ITIL 4 Foundation, earned or in progress.

Working Conditions

  • Based anywhere in the US; Atlanta preferred, since our depot and many client sites are there. Regular local travel to client sites, plus overnight regional or national travel for integrations and office builds, with advance notice.
  • Standard business hours, with some planned early starts, evenings or weekends around go-lives and office moves.
  • Regularly lift and carry equipment up to 50 lb, work under desks and in comms rooms, and stay on your feet on go-live days.
  • Rozmith provides a laptop, phone and tool kit. Mileage is reimbursed under Rozmith policy.

Your First 90 Days

  • Day 30: you know the clients, tools and procedures, have shadowed site visits and depot work, and are taking desk tickets with review.
  • Day 60: you run site visits on your own, own a share of the desk queue, and handle depot receiving and shipping unaided.
  • Day 90: you run on-site, desk and depot work to Rozmith's standard and have supported a go-live or office build.

Where It Leads

This role touches every part of IT operations, which makes it a strong base for a path into service desk leadership, engineering, networking or cybersecurity. Progress is based on evidence, not time in the seat.
